It's time to start your quality control program. Here's how:
You're ready for the next stage of growth and you know it's time to start a quality control program... but you're busy making beer
and you're not sure where to start
and you don't have a big budget
and you don't have any extra time
You're not alone. Most brewers are in the same situation and they keep putting off starting their QC program. But you're not like most brewers... are you? You're ready to take action.
Over the past decade of working in brewing/quality control labs I've developed various spreadsheets and template to make organizing and collecting lab data easier.
The hardest part of starting a quality program is starting. This starter kit was designed to make that process easier. The "starting" part has already been done for you.
When you purchase the QC starter kit you get access to a Google Folder filled with 27 templates, logs, and info sheets to get you well on your way to having your own QC program.
1. GMPs – basic info/resources
2. Document Control – info sheet

Check out the free QC manual outline and when you're ready to fill in the details and start logging data click here to purchase the QC starter kit. You'll receive a welcome letter that includes a link to the Google Folder filed with the above files. From there you'll want to make a copy and save to your own GoogleDrive where you can then edit and make changes to fit your brewery's needs.
This is NOT a lab manual. It will not tell you how to perform lab tests (but there is a yeast cell counting procedure). You still need to do the work of deciding what you want to test for and track in your brewery.
This guide provides pre-made templates so you can get started right away. Most of these templates get you started on your QC program without needing any equipment.
A big part of QC is documentation. If you don't write it down, it didn't happen.
The QC starter kit is for brewers who are ready to start a quality program or breweries that are just starting out and want to focus on quality from the very beginning.
It is not intended for breweries who already have a well-established lab and quality program. You're welcome to buy it, but you are probably already tracking everything included.
Edit the files to fit your specific needs. Every brewery is different and every quality program will be slightly different. The QC manual outline walks you though the basics of a quality program. From there check out the resources page for more info on setting up a QC program or check out my free email course.
